These awards mean a lot to the people involved in
creating the products that are recognized by fellow peers, but our greatest
accomplishment and true measure of success comes from our clients, and that
is the trust and confidence they place in us everyday.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients for
allowing us to do what we love best, and that's putting ink on paper.

Innovative Solutions celebrates
5 years of serving Aiken business"
By Monica Budnichuk - Staff Writer
Dedication is key to success, and the staff at innovative
Solutions in Aiken proves that as the business celebrates its fifth
anniversary.
Co-owners Rae Leigh Warner and Debbie Bailey had always
dreamed of putting their common love of printing, design and management
independence into action.
After a tedious yet exhilarating process of consulting
financial planners, business professionals and print equipment suppliers,
Innovative Solutions opened its doors in a renovated gas station in 2001.
Now, the independent printing company is experiencing an
intense growth stemming from their commitment.
According to Bailey, some of the current production
spaces will expand into the nearby Quick Credit building.
“We have been tight (on space) for a year, and we
weren’t sure if the business would justify. But we do get new clients
everyday and we’re enjoying the growth that Aiken is experiencing.”
The expansion will allow Bailey and Warner to take their
business to the next level by creating the opportunity for better customer
contact and by helping handle the increase production with ease.
Innovative Solutions has also added some new talent to
its staff. Graphic artist Rob Alexander brings his expertise to the field, and
Dixie Day, the business’s newest employee, has been a great help in tending
to the massive amount of overflows, overseeing bindery work and handling
administrative duties.
“Unlike other printing companies, we allow everyone to
work with our customers because this is such a high caliber staff,” Bailey
said.
The business has also recently undertaken the project of
managing the graphic design and layout of Aiken magazine “Easy Street.”
They continue to do logo designs, letterheads, business
cards, banners and anything else required to meet a client’s project needs.
“We do all our rodeo and baseball business here. In
fact, this year’s rodeo program should win some kind of award; it’s as
good as it gets. What a blessing this place is,” said Kenny Thomas, head
coach of the USCA Pacer baseball team. “I’ve never experienced such a
friendly, yet businesslike, relationship.”
Vivien Bunce, marketing and public relations director at
Eulalie Salley & Co. Realtors, has also been impressed and well served by
Innovative Solutions.
“They’re professional; they’re on time…They’re
our best resource,” she said.

Innovative Solutions received two PICA (Printing Industry
of the Carolina) Awards of Excellence at the 39th Annual Awards
Banquet at the Hilton Towers in Charlotte.
These are the most prestigious symbols of printing in the
Carolinas, open only to PICA members.
Co-owner Debbie Bailey said they collect really good
pieces throughout the year and at the end of the year they go through and pick
the best of the best.
“Last year was our first time even entering
anything,” said Bailey
“We won two PICAs this year and three last year.”
The awards are based on the complexity of the job, the
number of colors used, print quality and design.
Rae Leigh Warner, co-owner, said there are many different
types of categories to enter work in like, ads, newsletters, books, programs,
or media guides, to name a few. The entrance is also based on the size of the
company, the type of press used and the number of staff.
“The first award was for a four-color brochure and the
second award was for a single color spa menu,” said Warner.
The award winning pieces were put together by designer,
Courtney Radtke and press operator, Ric Visitacion.
Bailey said their goal is that the awards will create
morale with the staff. It means a lot to them that others think highly of
their work.
The company is now in the process of expanding the
facility for more office space. They took over the lease of the building next
door, previously Quick Credit, in order to add two offices and a place to sit
down with clients.
“When we first started we never expected to expand so
quickly,” said Bailey who feels that it is a high priority to be able to sit
down with clients one-on-one to fulfill their needs. “We are excited about
having a place for our customers.”
Recently completing their fifth year of business, Bailey
added that they are blessed to have such loyal customers.
Innovative Solutions, located on Richland Avenue, offers
printing, design, high speed copying, signs, banners, automobile magnetics,
real estate signs and a little bit of everything, according to Warner.
